Use the Cognos Sun Java ™ System Identity Manager and Cognos Reporting System for financial reporting. The Identity Manager is used for password resets, while the Reporting System is used to run summary financial reports. This includes functionality to drilldown to specific financial transactions.
Use the PeopleSoft Finance database for processing financial transactions related to procurement, accounts payable, accounting and budget.
The PeopleSoft HR/Student database launches when you click the Login to MySJSU button. Use this database for student and employee self service, including self service for faculty. Also use it for processing human resources transactions related to recruitment, employment, benefits and payroll.
Use the SJSU Finance Web Component for entering requisitions, direct payments, employee or student reimbursements, budget and expense transfers and HR expense adjustments.
