Your SJSU Student Email Account

SJSU email addresses are only available to enrolled students. Once you have registered for classes, you will have the opportunity to activate your SJSU email address. You may wish to use this email address as your Preferred email address for official SJSU correspondence. Email Messages from SJSU

At San José State, all email correspondence from Admissions, Records, Financial Aid, Student Financials (the Bursar's Office), Advising, major departments and faculty goes to the email address that you identify as Preferred in MySJSU. If you don't make any changes, email will continue to go to the email address that is currently marked as Preferred.

Email Alerts for Messages inside MySJSU

Campus departments use the SJSU Messaging system to send you important information through MySJSU. If you do not read a message on the day it is sent, an email alerting you to the delivery of a new message will be sent to your Preferred email address. We strongly encourage you to login to MySJSU on a regular basis to make sure that you receive critical information in a timely manner.
