What is Alert-SJSU?
Alert-SJSU is San José State University’s system for warning students, staff and faculty in the event of a natural disaster or other emergency on-campus.
Emergency information and instructions can be sent via:
- Text message to your cell phone
- Audio message to a cell or other telephone
- Email to an email account
For example, an Alert-SJSU message might:
- Caution you to avoid certain areas of campus
- Let you know if classes are cancelled due to an emergency situation
- Provide vital information on what actions to take if you are on-campus during an emergency
